Tincture is made of the powdered root.
Common Name: Ferula sumbul, Musk-root
Causes & Symptoms for Sumbul
- In neuralgic and nervous palpitations, complaints related to the heart.
- A remedy for arterial complaints with sclerotic changes.
- Nervousness, sleeplessness, and tendency to spasms is an indication for this remedy.
- Complaints that are worse after inspiration, cold, music.
- In children with worm infection, bloating and fullness.
Mind and Head
Hysterical mood even in men, alternate laughter and tears.
Vertigo, on stooping, using warm water, moving about or rising from a seat indicates Sumbul.
Spots on the scalp of children at the edges.
Eyes, ear, nose
Sensation of foreign body in eyes. Hissing sound in both the ears.
For yellow mucus in nose, worse left nostril. Prickling at nostril due to worms.
Mouth and Throat
Choking constriction at top of gullet, constant swallowing
Stomach and abdomen
Shooting pains felt in the stomach.
Distention of the abdomen with pain is relieved with Sumbul.
Urinary complaints
Constant desire to pass urine, with stitching pains at the urethra region.
Male complaints
Itching in the genital area is an indication for Sumbul.

Side effects of Sumbul
There are no such side effects. But every medicine should be taken following the rules as given.

Dosage and rules while taking Sumbul
Take 10 drops in half cup of water three times a day.
